Guo Zhiyong (center) participating
in the follow-up evaluation
Mr. Guo Zhiyong, Deputy Director of the Poverty Alleviation Department, Hui County, Gansu Province, visited participants from Ma’an Village before and after the training. He also participated in the follow-up evaluation with the Badi Foundation team in September 2003. The following is an extract of his summary of the impact of the training:
"The biggest areas of impact are seen in the change of mindset, increase in the level of initiative to participate in improving the economic situation of the village, increase in the ability to accept new things, willingness to participate in training and the willingness to participate in social work actively." He went on to say that, "Their relationship with their in-laws and husbands has improved. This feedback is from their husbands and in-laws."
