Closing ceremony of the EAP L1 training
in the Gansu Agriculture University
In 2002, the Badi Foundation conducted the EAP Level 1 and tested a draft of Level 2 on agriculture production with students from the Gansu Agriculture University. In 2003, based on positive feedback from and cooperative action carried out by the students, the University and the Foundation reached a common vision to use the course material to build the capacity of the students to stimulate scientific, cultural and economic advancement in the rural communities. In this collaboration, the Foundation will provide training to the students who volunteer for the University's Advance The Rural Culture, Science And Technology, And Health Project, as promoted by the central government. This project aims to prepare students to assess the needs of rural farming communities and bring the University's research results to these communities. The project will begin operations in March 2004.
